What my clients have
said about ‘Your Happiness and
Freedom’ Mentoring Program “Many have seen the change in me, so do believe” L Franklin, Parent, Partner,
Social Worker, Aug 2004 “Dearest Lucy, I still reflect on
your teachings regularly. When I tell people my meetings with you changed my
life around, I often wish I had a little picture of you or a figurine
or...mathematical equation (!) that I could give to them to show them and
encourage them to make contact with you. Many of course, have seen the change
in me, so do believe.” “A technique…quite powerful and limitless and personal” Simon D,
IT, Aug 2003 “Your program and your feedback
through the weekly reflection sheet that you prepared were so helpful. There was so much in the program that I
found so useful even though some of it shocked me at first and I resisted
it. But that was only showing me how
my ego and my conditioning are! Here
are just some of the things we got from the program. Learning not to live in the future. Biggest learning – learning not to
live in the past. I have a tendency to
remember painful experiences rather than joyful ones. I am now wanting to remember good things Trying to focus on the day and its
opportunities Much more conscious of myself in
relationships with others, aware of my thoughts/feelings which I can analyse
using meditation Skill of being able to focus on my
breath anywhere, anytime to settle fear, anxiety so that they don’t
exacerbate Being able to recognize ego in
myself helps me recognize ego in others and I am more understanding,
empathetic A technique that employs focussing
the mind. It’s not yoga, not
relaxation. Quite powerful and
limitless and personal. Surprises me
how useful it is to deal with life’s problems using tools you already have,
your mind which lies dormant.” “Whereas before I used to believe that we couldn’t change even
though I did experience change!...” Alison M,
Social Worker, Parent, Aug 2003 “That we are changing. A big learning for me was IMPERMANENCE. We’re already changing and in profound
ways. In psychology, they reinforce
peoples’ personality types and there seems to be a message that we are that
and not capable of changing. But we
are and we do! Whereas before I used
to believe that we couldn’t change even though I did experience change! More aware of the power of my
consciousness – MIND over MATTER means something to me now! I am beginning to get a sense that
I am more than my physical self. But
this is still embryonic. There’s so much more Lucy and I’m
afraid I may have forgotten to list them!
I really appreciated your wisdom and felt so safe and affirmed in your
non-judgmental presence. Thank you!” “I am more excited now and I am able to accept things better” Keith K,
Vet, Businessman, Parent, Partner, Nov 2008 “One of the important things I
have learnt is to examine my motivation for doing anything: I ask myself “Am
I responding from a place of love,caring
and support…am I deriving joy from what I am doing?” Am I living in the “now” …being there ..enjoying the experience with an unconditioned mind .. seeing and
feeling things from a neutral or blank perspective, not judging but just
observing. I am motivated to continue
my spiritual growth as I will be a happier person who can then support others
more easily. I began this program feeling
concerned that I was unable to make decisions, take action, steer my life in
a particular direction as I used to be able to do when I was younger. But my concerns are not really concerns any
more but more just wondering where this spiritual growth will lead me. I am more excited now and I am able to
accept things better. “Problems” will only be such if I
see them as such. I have control over
how I think and respond to what happens around me. It’s only an event until I judge it. My expectations are to use my
spiritual growth to have a much more rewarding life whereby I am accepting of
the universe and its happenings and that I don’t want to or have control over
them…not to argue with the world but to just let it happen and to use my
loving motivation to work out what I desire and intend and allow these things
to happen and accept the outcome.” “Another wonderful insight I have gained, which I use regularly,
is to be motivated by love. That is
very powerful, very powerful for me.
It can instantly change my whole outlook on a situation”. Jody C,
Management Banking, Parent, Partner, June 2008 “There have been sooooo many things I have learned, and I believe there
are still soooo many that I
am yet to discover. One of the strongest pieces of
wisdom I have gained is the ‘awareness’ I have learned. Being aware of my thoughts, how my thoughts
have turned to actions. Another is that each event, each
situation as it arises, is brand new, and to deal with it from the present
moment and not from what has happened previously. I love the idea of the present
moment, of being. This really helps me
when I become aware that I am thinking in the past, or projecting into the
future. I very gently bring myself
back to the present moment, and in the present moment all is perfect. I have gained a lot from becoming
an observer, observing my thoughts, my actions, my
responses. More specifically the
‘conditioned’ way that I was thinking/acting/responding. When I allow myself to act/respond with the
limitlessness that is available to me, I feel like I can do anything at all. Another wonderful insight I have
gained, which I use regularly, is to be motivated by love. That is very powerful, very powerful for
me. It can instantly change my whole
outlook on a situation. A daily skill I have learned to do
is my meditation, to become aware, to be present, this is also very powerful
for me. Towards the end of my
meditation, I love to do my “Desire/Intend/Allow” and this just opens up a
universe of possibilities. It feels to
me that I am creating what I am intending. This has all been very powerful,
positive and a journey that I am extremely grateful that I was drawn to
take. Thank you dear Lucy!” |
