"The real joy of life is in its play. Play is anything we do for the joy and love of doing it, apart from any profit, compulsion, or sense of duty. It is the real joy of living". Walter Rauschbusch

A blog about Inner Happiness, Consciousness and Freedom!
"What can I tell you about happiness that you don’t already know at the very core of your being?  You may have ‘forgotten’ perhaps, as I have.  But let’s remember, together.  Let's return to the original Self we long for - that Self that is forever at peace, forever joyous, limitless, powerful, abundant and free!  And as we do, let's become Conscious Creators, Bold Adventurers, creatively exploring infinite possibilities as we flow in this enchanting journey we casually call Life!"

Do not let your natural joy be overriden by your unnatural fear!

.

I invite you to take some time today, about 5-10 minutes, find a quiet spot, sit comfortably, take a few deep and gentle breaths, and feel gratitude. Yes, actually feel it, don’t just think it.

Keep in mind that gratitude is the recognition, the seeing and the feeling, of goodness, not just in some things but in all things.  Before your mind starts to protest this, take a few more deep breaths and consider the possibility that

Everything, without exception, is purposeful and perfect even if we don’t understand how.

You don’t have to believe it but I invite you to entertain the possibility.  Consider this:

Even if I do not see the goodness in some person, thing or event, does that mean it has absolutely no useful purpose?  After all, all of life is interconnected and each aspect of life is a microcosm of the whole of life.  Just because I do not see and feel this, does not make it less true.

Earlier this morning, I was told something that I didn’t particularly want to hear.  What was I to do?  There were all these feelings of indignation and fear and I did not feel good. Realizing how afraid I was feeling, I intended and allowed myself to feel and experience the truth of my true nature:

I am not a fearful being.  I am not here to live a fearful life.  I am an expression of the unsurpassable power, limitlessness, joy and freedom that has brought and continues to bring all of life into being.  I will not allow fear to overpower me.   I intend the peace that comes from the true source of power.

My recent experience has prompted me to write this post.  Perhaps you too have felt overwhelmed by fear, anger or indignation.  Perhaps you have been tempted to act hastily in order to get rid of or escape those feelings, believing that your external actions will somehow get an internal affair under control.  It won’t.

What it will do is bury the internal discomfort temporarily. But sooner or later, that same sense of fear and indignation will emerge and the same cycle of feeling and action will play out.

Yet, it would be so much more effective and liberating to shine the light of truth on any falsehood that troubles us, one of which is that there are ‘bad’ things that are not a part of the perfect and purposeful web of life!

Blessings!
