easily

and your eyes

twinkled?

lightly and long

and the atoms in the air

danced with you?

Fear?

When your spirit

had names like

Enthusiasm

Intuition and

Freedom?

Or

has that memory

blurred

as a spot of ink

dissolving

in a large drop of

water?

for the molecules of ink

are still there

among

the molecules of water

as are your memories of

happy times

there among the

rolling, repeating patterns of

rehearsed life
